SmallBiz supplies a number of product ranges in addition to
the support services provided for customers.
We are authorised to supply products from many major hardware
suppliers to integrate and deliver solutions that meet your
information technology needs.
We can integrate our products into existing systems
where this is required to maintain continuity with existing
systems and to extend the life of earlier investments.
The Gatekeeper access control system controls the operations
of a network of remote terminals, and either grants or denies access
to token holders based on a configured list of permissions associated
with each terminal.
The software is maintenance free, and operates as an unattended
Microsoft Windows service. No intervention is required
in routine operational use. The software may be installed on an
isolated workstation, or on a server as a part of a larger network.
The remote terminals connected to the network may be configured
with a radio-frequency identification transponder (RFID), bar-coded
card, button token, or multiple reader types.
Microsoft offers volume licenses for academic organisations
and academic institutions. For a lower cost than a retail
license, volume license can be install on many computers.
